It has been a while since the last proper blog post as I have been busy doing absolutely nothing :( Thanks to the Dhoble-ization of Mumbai, I haven’t been spinning in Mumbai for more than a month now. Yes, I did go to Pune to spin for an Air Snare Records party & did end up staying there through the weekend, however there was not much in store for me when I came back home. This week however ended surprising the fuck out of me as despite the nightlife glum, the city has offered me this unique opportunity to spin at 2 ace events back-2-back this Saturday (June 23rd).

First up, at 5.00pm - Mehboob Studios (Bandra) - Stage 1, I’ll be doing a short (30 min) set/demo/talk/workshop/curated listening session/whateverthefuckyoumaywannacall for Puma (courtesy NH7). Puma Loves Vinyl is a unique initiative by Puma India & NH7 where they are coming together to cut a limited edition 12” LP featuring Indian indie acts. I am gonna kick off this event with speaking about why vinyl has been (& always will be) the mother ship of all recording formats along with some display of skills on familiar beats & breaks. Then stick around to witness ace performances by talented friends like Ankur & The Ghalat Family, Tough On Tobacco, The Supersonics, Reggae Rajahs and Dualist Inquiry.

After that I would be moon walking my way up to Bonobo (YES!) to spin at one of our annual legendary nights which is dedicated to the late (but ever so ruling) King of Pop - Michael Jackson. This one is a MUST ATTEND event on your list! (Courtesy - Miller) After last year’s wild success, I have met a lot of people through the months who have thanked me for the night. I am humbled simply because of the vast volume of hits which MJ has left behind for us to enjoy & cherish his legacy. Expect all the originals, remixes, edits, mashups & covers in a fresh crotch-grabbing format (Hoo!) P.S.:- Don’t forget to bring your white glove & other MJ memorabilia ;)
